Personal Work

My photography captures memories of life and spaces through portraits, events, and personal stories, celebrating the beauty in everyday moments.

Artistic Journey

I’m a Chicago-based photographer working in both film and digital formats. For the past sixteen years, photography has been both a professional craft and a deeply personal practice. I shoot portraits, events, and lifestyle work for clients, always with the intention of capturing something authentic, beautiful, and lasting. My personal photography, often photo essays and longform projects, documents the city I love, the people in it, and the fleeting, quiet moments that define a life.

Before photography became central to my work, I spent over a decade as a teacher, and then as a nonprofit storyteller helping elevate the voices of people too often unheard. That background continues to shape how I see: with empathy, with purpose, and with deep respect for the stories of others. Whether I’m documenting an event or walking through my neighborhood with a camera, my aim is the same: to tell the truth with images.

As a father, husband, and lifelong learner, I often return to photography to hold on to memory, to preserve moments as they appear in my mind’s eye. These images, whether taken at home or while traveling, serve as both record and reflection. Through my work, I hope to create a sense of recognition: for clients, a celebration of what matters most; for viewers, a glimpse into lives and places that feel both specific and universal.
